For the latest installment of his Philadelphia-based comedy, Brunson will join forces with another hit show, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Sharing a snippet of the interview with its Instagram audience, Good Morning America joked on Instagram: “Raise your hand if you’re excited for the crossover episode of “Abbott Elementary” and “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.”
Quinta said: “I’m very excited.” I met Rob (McElhenney) and we got along very well. He is also a star and creator of his show.
She gushed, “It’s been the most fantastic experience working with them,” and Tyler agreed.
“Not only in the writers’ room, but also on set, we had a great time with them and I think (the combination) will work better than people expect.” The shows have two very different tones. “That’s putting it lightly,” he added.
The Temple University graduate gave credit to her hometown, noting, “I think it works because of Philadelphia.”
She cheerfully described it: “Philadelphia is a city rich in diversity, dirty and horrible at times and we can all share our dirt with each other and I think that’s what you’re going to see in that episode.”
The TV star then mused: ‘Sorry, Philly. There’s probably a nicer way to say that.
