By Merlin’s beard, no one expected that! After Hogwarts Legacy left Potter fans disappointed that the broom sport didn’t make it into the roleplaying game, Warner now bursts the bludger: Quidditch is coming! And as a standalone game!

What is Quidditch Champions?
After the colossal success of Hogwarts Legacy Warner is now announcing a standalone game all about the magician’s sport. Players will be able to create their own character and jump on their broomsticks for fast-paced matches – solo or in multiplayer. More is currently not known about the gameplay.
A release date has also not yet been determinedbut according to the FAQ, the game has been in development for several years. Behind the project is publisher Warner, the label Portkey Games and developer Unbroken Studios. The studio is also working in parallel with Rocksteady Studios on Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
Quidditch Champions will be released for PC and previously unknown consoles. A first teaser trailer can be seen on Twitter:

Registration for the playtest is already open
Apparently, a Quidditch Champions playtest is planned for the near future. You can already sign up for it now register on Warner’s official website. Registration does not guarantee actual participation, but gives you the chance to be selected.
