Investigators found 49 animals trapped in cages filled with their own feces and urine in the disgusting home of an elderly hoarder on Long Island.
Suffolk Earl officers received disturbing reports from neighbors that 79-year-old Linda Hart was torturing dogs at her Ronkonkoma home.
After obtaining a search warrant, investigators entered the house of horrors and found 49 caged pets throughout the disgusting residence, as well as thousands of maggots and flies.
The cruel woman had trapped the distressed dogs in cages filled with feces and urine throughout her house of horrors.
Hart had left the innocent dogs severely tangled with barely an inch to move in what one officer described as “the worst” case of animal abuse he had ever seen.

Suffolk SPCA boss Roy Gross said: “There wasn’t a room in the house that didn’t have cages with dogs, including the bathroom.”
“It sounds like she was a hoarder,” Gross said. The charge.

The house was condemned because the town decided it was so disgusting that it was uninhabitable.
Six parrots were also found living in disgusting conditions in the dirty house.
Gross said the dogs were discovered in such poor condition that they won’t be ready for adoption for a while.

Hart was charged with 49 counts of animal cruelty on Tuesday. He is expected to appear in First District Court in Central Islip later this month.
