A beloved teacher and her husband died in a terrible motorcycle accident.
Sandra Schuptar, 65, and her husband Peter, 63, were riding a Honda Goldwing motorcycle when they collided with a Nissan Patrol at an intersection in Logan, south-west of Brisbane, on Sunday about 7.25pm.
The couple died at the scene.
Mrs Schuptar was reportedly a much-loved teacher at the nearby Mt Ommaney special school.
In a statement, the school said its community was left “heartbroken beyond belief.”
Mount Ommaney Special School deputy headteacher Katie Bartholomaeus paid tribute to the couple.

A parent at the school was heartbroken at the “devastating news.”
“Sandra has been the most incredible support to our family for many years and I can’t even imagine how we will start the new year without her radiant smile walking across the terrace,” the father wrote on social media.
“She was an incredible gift to our community and will be deeply missed.”
Mr. and Mrs. Schuptar were prominent figures in the local Jewish community, leading a prayer group and organizing trips to Israel.
A Queensland Police spokesperson said the couple were ‘They were initially treated for serious injuries, but both were pronounced deceased at the scene.
“The driver of the Nissan, a 21-year-old Carbrook man, was not physically injured,” they added.
Police asked for witnesses or those with dash cam footage of the incident to come forward.
