Renee loved helping others.

A Queensland mother spent her last birthday with her children handing out blankets to homeless people just hours before she died suddenly.

Renee Gooch, a 37-year-old mother of three, who died on October 23, has been remembered as a “beautiful generous and selfless soul.”

In a tragic story, Renee and her three children, Lola, 16, Charlie, 14, and Chase, 10, spent their final hours together handing out blankets to homeless people in the area.

Family friend Rebecca De Broughe, who created a GoFundMe to raise money for Renee’s children, she said her close companion “loved giving and helping others.”

“Above all, Renee loved her children and her family,” Ms. De Broughe said.

‘Renee comes from a family of donors, her Mother Vicki and Father Craig, generous and hardworking people who over the years have helped many and opened the doors of their home to many people.

‘Her brothers Brent and Matt were genuine, kind and funny and oh how they deeply adored their sister.

‘On Renee’s last birthday, she and her kids dropped the blankets instead of partying and trashing.

‘Renee and her three babies walked the streets looking for homeless people and gave them blankets from their own home.

‘That was Renee, it didn’t matter what day it was or what time it was, if Renee had the means to help someone she definitely would and she did.

“Renee’s passing is a true tragedy and even more tragic because she took her own life.”

“Renee’s departure is a great loss for all of us and this world will be a little less loud without the sound of her infectious laugh and a little less bright with her beautiful smile and beautiful green eyes. Renee truly was a rare human being, a rare beauty”. .’

Ms De Broughe said Renee had a desire for life that extended beyond children.

“Renee loved many things in life: music, art, nature, adventure, hiking, candy and candy, exploring new places, skydiving, laughing and making people laugh…” said Mrs De Broughe.

Renée also loved the beach and “any body of water,” tattoos, animals, pineapples, sunflowers, and green was her “favorite color.”

“Lola, Charlie and Chase have great support, but we all know how expensive children and everyday life can be, so in honor of the generous, kind and generous soul we all knew, let’s pay it forward,” said Mrs De Broughe.

‘Let’s show their three beautiful children how much we love them, how much we all love their little bear Muma and how much their beautiful mother Renee inspired us to give.

‘Suicide is at an all-time high and if you know Renee then you know she was a huge advocate for suicide prevention.

“So let’s all remember to reach out and be kind, to those we know and those we don’t know.”

Mrs De Broughe said all funds raised will go to Renee’s children to “help them with their future”.
