A young Queenslander in his 20s was beginning his morning routine of checking his emails when he received the shocking news of his considerable $1 million haul in a recent Weekday Windfall draw.
The Sunshine Coast resident had one of two division one winning entries in Weekday Windfall draw 4393, drawn on Wednesday 22 May 2024, winning a total prize of $1 million.

“This is incredible,” he rejoiced when he received news of his new fortune from a Lott official late last week.
‘I was doing all the boring morning chores before you called.
‘I’m not sure what to say, but this is crazy news.
‘I can’t wait to call my partner to tell him the news. I was on public transportation and I had to wait for him to get off because I didn’t want to scare him.
‘Thank you so much.’
The hard-working Queenslander shared the heart-warming news that his lottery haul would give him and his partner a much-needed boost.
“This will give us a big boost in life and we will be able to establish a great foundation,” he shared.
‘There are so many things we could do with this award that will undoubtedly change our lives.
‘This would help us enter the real estate market and put young people down roots.
“For now, I just need to sit and think about it.”
The marked entry for the winner’s eighth game was purchased through The Lott app, the official home of Australian lotteries.
The winning numbers in the Weekday Windfall draw 4393 for Wednesday, May 22, 2024 were 3, 32, 21, 36, 20 and 16, while the supplementary numbers were 35 and 43.
Across Australia, there were two division one winning entries in Weekday Windfall draw 4393: one in Queensland and one in New South Wales.
Lott’s division one win count has reached 365 so far in FY24, including 86 won by Golden Casket customers.
