Queensland firefighter Izabella Nash dies in blaze at Slacks Creek, Brisbane

Firefighter tragically dies hours after fighting horrific factory fire in Brisbane – as police launch crime investigation

A firefighter from the Fire and Rescue Service died last night following a factory fire in Slacks Creek, Brisbane, early yesterday morning.

Izabella Nash joined the Fire and Rescue Service in 2014 and served as a first class firefighter.

A second firefighter, Lia Drew, who is a senior firefighter, is hospitalized in a serious but stable condition.

The thoughts of all QFES members are with Izzy and Lia’s families, friends and fellow crew members.

An investigation is underway into this incident.
