The royal, 53, wore a regal gown as the king, 62, presented her with the sash in gratitude for her “distinguished service, her leadership role in the advancement of Jordanian society and her enthusiasm for supporting Jordanians in all fields.”

The couple, who have been married for 30 years, were celebrating the 25th anniversary of the king’s accession to the Hashemite throne in 1999 at Al Husseiniya Palace in Amman.

The Supreme Order, also known as the Bejeweled Grand Cordon of Al Nahda, is the second highest order of merit in Jordan.

It is often awarded to foreign royals of all ranks and Queen Rania has already received Jordan’s highest honour: the Order of Al-Hussein bin Ali.

The royal, 53, donned a regal gown as the king, 62, presented her with the sash in gratitude for her “distinguished service” to the country.

The Queen looked elegant with bright makeup and her style impeccable, while Abdullah was a very appropriate companion in his elegant suit.

After receiving the award, the Queen took to her personal Instagram, where she has more than 10 million followers, to write: ‘Your Majesty, I am honored to receive this recognition, but there is no greater honor than to be at your side.

‘I have been lucky enough to spend my life with you, to be the mother of our children and your partner for life. You are a leader with a courageous vision for your country, firm in your principles and inspiring in your faith.

“I am fortunate to have your trust and support, and I will always remain a faithful soldier in your ranks, Abu Al Hussein.”

The royal couple married in 1993 and share four children: Crown Prince Hussein, Princess Iman, Princess Salma and Prince Hashem.

The Queen has often been recognized for promoting wellbeing and social empowerment and is dedicated to humanitarian causes in the country.

She has also been highly critical of the Israeli government since fighting broke out after Hamas killed approximately 1,400 people in a terrorist attack in early October.

In an open letter to his wife, the King said: ‘Today, as you celebrate your Jordanian sisters and as the world celebrates women, I can think of no better occasion or greater honor to recognize your efforts.

He continued: “Through thick and thin, God has blessed me with an unwavering companion, who has been by my side in constant devotion to this nation, putting her great Jordanian family before her own.”

The award shows the strength of the royal couple’s bond as they aim to modernize Jordan together.

Queen Rania characterizes herself as a “mother and wife with a really cool job” and millions of followers on social media to boot.

She met the Jordanian prince, Abdullah bin Al-Hussein, at a dinner hosted by Prince Abdullah’s sister in January 1993.

They got engaged two months later and just five months after meeting, they married.

Their lavish ceremony took place at the Zahran Palace in Amman, capital of Jordan. The day was declared a national holiday.

Although Abdullah II was the eldest son of the late King Hussein, his father changed the line of succession in favor of Abdullah’s uncle when he was only three years old.
