Once inside the museum, the Dutch queen posed in front of one of her most famous pieces, Girl with a Pearl Earring, by the golden age painter Johannes Vermeer.
She kept her makeup to a minimum by applying a burgundy color to her lids for a smoky yet sophisticated look.

Once lunch is over, De Sousa will go to the Peace Palace, where he will meet with the president of the United Nations International Court of Justice and the secretary general of the Permanent Court of Arbitration.
He will then speak at the Peace Palace with representatives of the Hague Academy of International Law.
Later, the president will visit Deltares, a research institute that works on innovative solutions to keep deltas, coastal zones and river areas safe, sustainable and habitable.
He will complete his trip to the Netherlands by hosting a reception complete with a musical performance at the Royal Tropical Insitutute to thank King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima for their hospitality.
