Proud parents Queen Mary and King Frederick of Denmark today congratulated their eldest son on graduating from high school.
Heir apparent Prince Christian, 18, appeared to be in high spirits as he stood outside the Ordrup Gymnasium in Gentofte with his family, including his siblings Prince Vincent, Princess Josephine and Princess Isabella.
The royals smiled as they marked the special moment by posing for photos together outside the school and speaking to local media.
Wearing a summery ensemble, Mary, 52, donned a crisp white linen shirt that she tucked into a colorful cream-colored skirt with a floral print.
She completed her look with a brown rattan bag and camel open toe heels.

The mother of four also chose to accessorize her ensemble with large hoop earrings and several gold bracelets, choosing to wear her shiny brunette hair with a wavy blow-dry.
Mary sported glamorous makeup, opting for smoky bronze eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, bronzer and pale pink lipstick.
Meanwhile, her husband, King Frederik, 56, stepped out in a white shirt, sapphire blue jacket, tan chinos and black sneakers.
The couple, who have been married for 20 years, looked in love as they embraced each other as they walked away from the school.
Christian smiled for the cameras and opted to wear a loose-fitting gray printed shirt, white pants, and slate-colored sneakers for his final day. He also donned a Studenterhue, a traditional cap worn by Danish graduates on the last day of school.
It is not known if Christian will also participate in other traditional end-of-school customs in the Scandinavian nation, which according to Visit Denmark They include packed trucks, dancing, loud music, and crowds of excited students.
The royal is likely to attend university in the fall and complete his military training, following in his father’s footsteps.

Two years ago, Prince Christian was removed from the elite Herlufsholm boarding school after allegations of physical and sexual abuse at the institution emerged in a documentary. Her sister Isabella was also supposed to attend, but her parents also took her out.
The couple were enrolled at Ordrup Gymnasium, and since Isabella is only a year behind her brother, Mary and Frederik will probably be at school at around the same time next year to celebrate their eldest daughter’s graduation.
The school from which Christian graduated was founded in 1873 by HC Frederiksen (called Friser), who wanted to move away from the traditional teaching methods of his time.
