Queen Letizia of Spain looked elegant in a striking scarlet suit while attending an event to commemorate Spanish Olympic athletes from the 1992 Games held in Barcelona.

The royal, 51, was joined at the Madrid event by her husband, King Felipe, who competed in the 1992 Games as a member of the Spanish Olympic sailing team.

Queen Letizia recycled a striking red pantsuit from March 2023 for the occasion.

The ensemble featured a single-breasted jacket with a gold button and matching skinny pants, which Letizia paired with nude black heels.

The mother of two sported a simple cream-colored silk top under her jacket.

Letizia, typically fresh-faced, kept her makeup to a minimum and wore her dark hair down.

Meanwhile, King Philip, 56, looked dapper in a striped suit, pale shirt and patterned tie.

During the 1992 Summer Olympics, in which the Spanish sailing team finished sixth, King Felipe was the Spanish team’s flag bearer.

This morning’s event comes at the end of a busy week for the Spanish royals.

Queen Letizia of Spain looked stunning in an elegant tweed dress on Tuesday morning as she joined her husband, King Felipe, at a literary awards ceremony in Madrid.

Letizia wore a blue and white tweed midi dress with three-quarter sleeves for the occasion.

Fringe at the waist and around the cuffs gave the royal’s formal dress a modern touch, while her pearl earrings added a touch of glamour.

Letizia looked typically demure in black heels and a small black leather bag.

The former journalist wore her hair down to her shoulders and kept her makeup natural.

King Felipe was also dressed to the nines, having chosen a morning suit for the ceremony.

He added some color to the ensemble with a pale blue vest under the jacket along with a navy blue tie.

King Felipe carried a ceremonial staff, as is tradition at the annual awards ceremony.

The Spanish Royal Family was in Madrid to present the Miguel de Cervantes Prize, Spain’s most prestigious literary award, to writer Luis Mateo Díez, 81, at the University of Alcalá.
