The royal also kept her makeup minimal, sporting a brown smoky eye and a pink lip gloss.
After being welcomed by staff, Letizia – whose eldest daughter is in her final year of school – met the children, who returned for their first day of the new academic year.
Today marked Letizia’s first solo engagement since returning to work following the royal family’s holiday in Mallorca.
King Felipe, Queen Letizia and their two daughters were accompanied by Queen Sofia for this sunny getaway.
The trip comes after a difficult few months for Letizia, who has been plagued by rumours of alleged infidelity.
In December, Letizia’s former brother-in-law shared a selfie of the Queen in Spain, which he claimed she had sent him while they were having an “affair.”
Just weeks earlier, Jamie Del Burgo had contributed to a tell-all book about the Spanish royals, where he makes the implausible claim that they were still romantically involved after Letizia’s wedding to King Felipe in 2004.
The businessman – who claims he was dating Letizia when she met King Felipe – shared on X an undated selfie that the Queen took in the bathroom mirror during one of her pregnancies as “proof” of their relationship.

In the selfie, the royal can be seen wearing a black pashmina, which Jaime said belonged to her, and also wrote a message, purportedly sent by the Spanish Queen.
She said, ‘Honey. I’m wearing your pashmina. It’s like feeling you next to me. You’re taking care of me.’
“He protects me. I count the hours until we see each other again. I love you. Get out of here. Yours.”
After sharing the image, other X users questioned the veracity of Jaime’s claims, as there is no evidence that Letizia sent him the photo or the accompanying message. The businessman has already deleted his X account.
A spokesperson for the Spanish Royal Family told FEMAIL: “We have no comment to make on this.”
This comes just weeks after Jaime – who was married to Letizia’s sister Telma from 2012 to 2014 – made a series of shocking accusations about his relationship with the Queen in journalist Jaime Peñafiel’s new book ‘Letizia & I’.
Talking with The Digital Closure, The 91-year-old author said Letizia was Jaime del Burgo’s “great love” and that their relationship became a “great friendship” after she became romantically involved with King Felipe.
The businessman told the author that he met Letizia before the year 2000 and their relationship began on a romantic trip to Venice, years before she met King Felipe.
Jaime – son of former politician Jaime Ignacio del Burgo – claims he was planning to propose to Letizia when she announced she was dating a mysterious “diplomat” during a dinner at Madrid’s Ritz hotel in 2002.
Describing how “serious and meaningful” their relationship was, the author made the unlikely claim that Jaime “was wearing an engagement ring in his pocket” that night.
