Queen Elizabeth II will make a surprise cameo in a Hollywood blockbuster that will return for its third installment.
Paddington in Peru will be released on November 8 after a long seven-year wait since Paddington 2, and will feature the late Queen Elizabeth II and iconic The Crown actress Olivia Colman.
The late monarch’s cameo will include a brief glimpse of her having afternoon tea with Paddington, taken from a short video made as part of her 2022. platinum jubilee celebrations.

Paddington In Peru will be released in UK cinemas on November 8, while Columbia Pictures will release it in the United States on January 17, 2025.
“(The royal family) was really, really happy for this to happen,” producer Rosie Alison told the publication.
“But we don’t like to make a big deal of it, because obviously Paddington is a very modest guy.”
Meanwhile, The Crown favorite Olivia, 50, revealed she was delighted and “signed without hesitation”.
The actress will transform into a nun to play the Reverend Mother in the franchise.
“Paddington is simply the best person in the world,” she said excitedly.
“Imagine if everyone was like Paddington, wouldn’t that be wonderful?”

The co-producer of the upcoming third installment of the film series revealed that the Peruvian-born character received a passport for his travels in the upcoming film.
Rob Silva said radio times: ‘We wrote to the Home Office asking if we could get a replica and, in fact, they granted Paddington an official passport; There is only one of these.

Emily Mortimer, best known for starring in HBO’s The Newsroom, has taken on the role as the family embarks on their latest adventure.
Speaking about her decision to step away from the film, Sally previously explained: “For me it’s been the right time to hand the reins to someone else, and there’s nothing better than the truly wonderful Emily Mortimer, she’s extraordinarily special.
‘She will embody the essence of Mary Brown and yet make her completely her own. However, I am and always will be in love with the world of Paddington.
“I already miss my family so much on and off screen; the experience of making the first two films has truly been one of the best and most creative times I have had in the world of cinema.”
And he added: “They both gave me a lot of joy.” In fact, I will always hold them very close to my heart.

Determined to find her, Paddington adds: ‘Aunt Lucy found me when I was a puppy and now I have to find her. We have to try.’
The film also stars Antonio Banderas, Julie Walters, Madeleine Harris, Samuel Joslin, Carla Tous and Jim Broadbent.
Paddington 3 will hit theaters on November 8, 2024.
