A ‘Karen’ from Utah who went viral for pulling down a teenage girl’s miniskirt at a St George steakhouse has been charged with sexual assault.

In a viral TikTok video, the woman identifies herself to a group of teenagers as a state employee after allegedly pulling down one of her miniskirts at Sakura Japanese Steakhouse on Saturday night.

Ida Ann Lorenzo, 48, told the alleged victim that if she had to look at her ‘hanging buttocks again’ and see her pubic hair, she would call Child Protective Services. Lorenzo later told police she intended to file an indecent exposure report.

Friends of the alleged victim can be heard defending her, telling Lorenzo that he should not touch her and that she is over 18 years old.

Lorenzo, who works for Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes, was booked into Purgatory Correctional Facility in Hurricane on a single Class A charge of sexual assault, according to court documents filed Wednesday. She now she has been released.

The incident caught the attention of authorities after Lorenzo reported it to the police that same night.

Lorenzo told police that the teen’s skirt was “rid up above her vagina and butt,” exposing her pubic hair. ABC4 reported.

She also reportedly explained that she pulled down her skirt when small children were present and restaurant staff failed to act.

After images of the incident were posted online, Lorenzo called 911 again to claim there had been a “threat to her life” since she is a state employee, according to the police report seen by ABC.

Lorenzo told police that she first asked the young woman to lower her skirt, but she was ignored and so she acted herself.

When asked why he thought it was appropriate to touch the girl, Lorenzo responded that he only touched her skirt.

The officer explained that this act constituted criminal conduct, the police report states.

On Monday, the alleged victim contacted police alleging she had been sexually assaulted.

The teen told police she was “shocked” when Lorenzo came up behind her, touched her buttocks and pulled down her skirt, leaving her feeling “violated.”

Several witnesses presented corroborating reports, ABC4 reported.

One of the witnesses, CC Snow, uploaded a TikTok video earlier this week sharing her experience.

‘He walks up to my friend and puts his hand under her skirt, pulls it down and then squeezes her sides, because she’s wearing a crop top, and says, ‘You’re probably underage, you probably shouldn’t wear that.'”

According to Snow’s account, the restaurant manager asked Lorenzo to sit down during the filmed altercation with the group of teenagers.

“It was like a fever dream, [felt] Like it’s fake, this isn’t actually happening. “This is not real life,” Snow added.
