Frequent flyers on Australia’s biggest airline will reap the rewards after Qantas unveiled a major new points offer.
Starting Wednesday, Qantas’ new Double Status Credit or Double Points offer will allow Qantas members who book flights over the next seven days to double their Status Credits or double their Qantas Points.
Qantas members who book any Qantas flight across the airline’s regional, domestic or international network departing between February 28 this year and February 14, 2025 are eligible to take advantage of the latest offer rewards and increase your credits and points.
Status credits allow members to advance through the airline’s status levels: silver, gold, platinum and platinum one and can usually only be obtained by flying.
Members of the frequent flyer program will be able to double their points in the next seven days if they book a flight that departs between February 28 of this year and February 14, 2025.
The offer has proven popular in the past with Qantas frequent flyers.
The new deal means members who choose to use the dual status credits offer could upgrade from Bronze to Silver simply by booking two return flights from Melbourne to Brisbane in Business or two return flights from Sydney to Singapore in economic class.
A Qantas spokesperson said the deal had previously been popular with Qantas members, who quickly saw the benefits of the offer.
“Our members tell us that double points and status credits are one of their favorite offers of the year,” they said.
‘It helps accelerate your progress to a higher status level, which in turn unlocks additional benefits when traveling around the country or the world, from lounge access to increased baggage allowances.

“For those who choose double Qantas Points, it can provide them with future travel, help them with an upgrade to a premium seat on their next flight or give them the opportunity to buy anything from a new bag to the latest noise-cancelling headphones Qantas Market.’
The airline said a Qantas member previously used the offer to pre-plan their trip and book 68 flights.
The passenger earned a staggering 12,300 status credits, which was enough to go from bronze to platinum status more than three times.
