Alan Joyce has sold his Federation-era mansion in one of Sydney’s most exclusive suburbs for a mysterious price rumored to exceed $20 million.
The outgoing Qantas CEO bought the four-bedroom brownstone house at 12 Musgrave Street in Mosman, on Sydney’s north shore, last March with her husband Shane Lloyd.
The couple purchased the Mosman house for $19 million before renovating the home’s interior with the help of design firm Levine Vokaberg.
While the exact price of the sale is unknown, a source said Domain it was well above his $20 million guideline.
The stunning figure will come as no surprise with the home boasting harbor views and its own netted pool.

The three-level home also has four bathrooms, a gym, multiple indoor and outdoor living areas, a wine cellar, a home office, and a boat slip.
It changed hands on Thursday, before expressions of interest closed on August 2.
The house was built in 1908 and was purchased by Alison Ethel, the former currency trader, and her sister Jane in 1993.
The sale of Mosman’s home has set a record in the upscale suburb and comes after Joyce shelled out $9.25 million in April for a penthouse right next to one he and her husband already own at Cove Apartments in The rocks.
Joyce will retire as chief executive of Qantas in November and chief financial officer Vanessa Hudson will take over the top job.
