A devastating Ukrainian missile attack hit the headquarters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet today.
The Sevastopol headquarters building is believed to have been hit by a Storm Shadow missile, of the type supplied by Britain and France, capable of containing a nearly 1,000-pound warhead.
Russia’s Defense Ministry said one person was killed in the attack. Initial reports indicated that six people had been injured.
Dozens of ambulances were reported at the headquarters in Sevastopol, the naval port of occupied Crimea.
The headquarters building was on fire, had partially collapsed and suffered “serious damage,” according to a report.
The remains of the missile attack on the Black Sea Fleet headquarters were scattered hundreds of meters away.
The explosion is understood to have been caused by a Storm Shadow missile.

A senior Russian official admitted that the fleet headquarters came under a missile attack.

Parts of the building were seen on fire shortly after the attack.

The top of the Black Fleet headquarters building was heavily damaged during the attack.
Russia’s Defense Ministry said five more missiles were shot down, but one managed to penetrate its defenses.
“According to preliminary information, people who were on the street at the time of the attack on the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet were not injured,” Putin said as Sevastopol governor-designate Mikhail Razvozhayev.
The fire continues in the headquarters building, the governor admitted.
Police cordoned off two blocks around the building hit by the missiles.
“The enemies launched a missile attack on the fleet headquarters,” Razvozhayev said.
He warned of the risk of a second attack and urged locals to stay away from the city.
‘A fragment [of a missile] He fell near the Lunacharsky Theater. All emergency services attended the scene.

Russian officials warned the occupied city that another imminent attack could be possible.

At least six people are believed to have been injured following the attack.

The attack was one of the largest of the entire war, as was the sinking of the Black Sea Fleet’s flagship, the cruiser Moskva, last year.
‘Information about the victims is being clarified. Please stay calm. And don’t post photos or videos.’
The occupation official said: ‘Another attack is possible. Please do not travel to the city center. Don’t leave the buildings.
‘At the sound of the siren, everyone near fleet headquarters should go to shelters.
‘Employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations are working at the scene.
“Firefighters are taking all necessary measures to put out the fire as soon as possible. The accumulation of forces and means continues.”

Putin did not mention the destruction of the Sevastopol headquarters in a meeting with his military chiefs
Prominent Russian pro-war blogger Vladimir Rogov said: “The headquarters of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol was attacked by Ukrainian missiles.”
He said the attack was carried out “by British Storm Shadow missiles”, although this was not immediately confirmed.
The attack was one of the largest of the entire war, as was the sinking of the Black Sea Fleet’s flagship, the cruiser Moskva, last year.
The Black Sea Fleet has been responsible for multiple missile attacks against Ukraine and is instrumental in Putin’s subjugation of around a fifth of Ukrainian territory.
Other explosions occurred in other parts of Crimea, including the peninsula’s capital, Simferopol.
Ukraine has previously used Storm Shadow and Neptune missiles to attack Crimea, as well as kamikaze drones.
Today drones were shot down in the port of Sevastopol.
The attack occurred while Vladimir Putin was holding a meeting of his security council on relations with neighboring countries.
He was heard dodging the attack and only mentioned ongoing developments in “relations with our closest neighbors and partners.”
