Los Angeles Rams catcher Puka Nacua is battling another injury issue after the catcher left practice early Thursday.
The 23-year-old, who enjoyed a record-breaking rookie season in 2023, returned to practice last week after a knee injury.
But on Thursday, he was listed as “limited” on the injury report after suffering a problem with the same knee.
In January, the 177th pick in the 2023 NFL draft, set a new rookie record for receiving yards.
But Nacua’s injury problems have limited the wide receiver to just two appearances so far this season.
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua is battling another injury problem
Rams head coach Sean McVay has had to do without Nacua for much of the 2024 season.
He dealt with knee issues during training camp and the preseason. Nacua then compounded the problem during the Rams’ Week 1 loss to the Lions.
The 23-year-old had four receptions for 35 yards before leaving the field. He remained on the sidelines until last week, when he returned against the Minnesota Vikings.
Nacua had seven receptions for 106 yards and Sean McVay’s team secured a 30-20 victory. It was a big boost for the Rams, who also saw Cooper Kupp return from injury last week.
Kupp hurt his ankle in Week 2 to deepen the Rams’ woes. Los Angeles is 3-4 on the season heading into Sunday’s game against the Seahawks.
