Paris Saint-Germain has tied defender Marquinhos to a new contract of four and a half years.
That means that the Brazilian international will remain with the French champions until 2024, which is an increase of two years compared to its current deal.
It will be a huge boost for Parisians, who have won five Ligue 1 titles since Marquinhos joined Roma in 2013.

He is a respected figure in the dressing room and is the current vice captain, behind countryman Thiago Silva.
PSG greeted the defender as he wrote the new deal, referring to the 25-year-old as “one of the most successful players in the history of Paris Saint-Germain.”
Marquinhos said: ‘Paris and PSG have every reason to stay here and extend my contract.
‘It’s an ambitious club that still wants to do great things, write football and club history.

‘Then there is the city side, the family side. My family is really, really good here.
‘I really feel at home here, I have everything I need here, so the choice is quick.
“This is the seventh season. Six and a half years since I signed, I look back and see how much PSG and I have achieved.
“We have done great things. I think it’s a very special club. We just have to keep living this beautiful story together. “
Marquinhos has also won four Coupe de France trophies, the Coupe de la Ligue five times and made 270 games for PSG while scoring 20 goals.
