PSG have completed the £59million signing of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia from Napoli.

The 23-year-old was an integral component of Napoli’s success in recent years and starred as the club clinched its first league title in more than three decades in the 2022-23 campaign.

In the years since, he has continued to be a key player at the Stadio Armando Maradona, scoring five goals and contributing three assists this season.

However, negotiations over a new contract with the Serie A club have stalled in recent weeks and Napoli manager Antonio Conte revealed last Saturday that Kvaratskhelia would leave the club in the January window.

Amid interest from a number of Premier League clubs, PSG emerged as the most likely destination for the Georgia international, and he has now signed a five-year deal with the French giants.

The winger, who will wear the number seven shirt, stated: ‘It’s a dream to be here. I have heard many positive things about PSG.

“I feel very proud to join this great club and I’m looking forward to wearing my new colours.”

Reports earlier this week claimed Kvaratskhelia will earn more than four times her current salary in Paris.

Luis Enrique’s side are currently seven points clear at the top of Ligue 1, in their first season since former talisman Kylian Mbappe left the club to join Real Madrid.

However, in Europe the club’s performances have been much less consistent.

After claiming just two wins in their first six Champions League matches, the French champions are currently on course to miss out on qualifying for the knockout stage as they sit 25th in the revamped league stage format.

PSG will host Manchester City on January 22 as they look to get their continental campaign back on track.
