PSG have been accused of disrespecting Ligue 1 after resting several top stars for their clash with Clermont.
With the club nine points clear at the top of the league, Luis Enrique fielded a heavily rotated team to take on relegation-threatened Clermont at the Parc des Princes.
Kylian Mbappé, Marquinhos and Achraf Hakimi were named on the Parisian club’s bench, with first-choice goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma also left out of the starting lineup.
However, the club’s decision to rest several key players ahead of the Champions League quarter-final clash against Barcelona almost hurt them.
Habib Keita scored his first goal of the season to give the visitors the lead in the first half before Mbappé came off the bench to assist Gonçalo Ramos, who rescued his team with a late equalizer.

Despite emerging with one point, Clermont remains seven points from safety in Ligue 1 in a relegation battle in which Le Havre is also involved.
After the match, Le Havre president Jean-Michel Roussier insisted that the league leaders’ decision to exclude their top stars was a sign of “contempt” for the national competition.
“It is an expression of enormous contempt towards the French league,” said Roussier. L’Equipe.
“I have prepared a text to send to Ligue 1 to express how I feel seeing PSG making fun of our league. Apparently, all of this has been validated by many people. They are pulling people’s asses,” he added.
Kylian Mbappé was finally introduced from the bench and set up Gonçalo Ramos as they rescued a point.
After avoiding defeat on Sunday, the Parisians remain focused on Wednesday’s visit to Barcelona.
A two-legged victory against the Blaugrana would set up a semi-final clash with Atletico Madrid winning against Borussia Dortmund as Kylian Mbappe tries to secure a fairytale ending to what looks set to be his final season at the club.
