In a statement released to NET, Facebook responded to the group’s allegations:
“We are permanently banning Pages, groups, and accounts that repeatedly break our rules on COVID disinformation, and this includes more than a dozen pages, groups, and accounts of these individuals.”

The protest comes as Facebook is under pressure from national leaders to curb the spread of misinformation about the COVID-19 virus and vaccines.
