A range of popular gluten-free breads have been recalled due to concerns about the presence of plastic.
The Gluten Freedom bread range was on sale at IGA, independent supermarkets, independent food retailers and in selected Woolworths Metro stores.
Some of the items that are part of the recall are:
Broken Black Rice and Polenta Sourdough with an expiration date of February 17, 2024 to March 9, 2024.
Everything sourdough bagels with a best before date of March 1, 2024 to March 12, 2024.
The affected loaves of Gluten Freedom Bread are sold in selected Woolworths Metro stores (pictured) as well as IGA, independent grocers and independent food retailers.

The splendid sourdough English muffin with a best before date of February 17, 2024 to March 9, 2024.
Food Standards Australia said the recall was due to the presence of plastic, which can cause illness or injury if consumed.
“Consumers should not eat these products,” he said.
“Consumers should return products to the place of purchase for a full refund.”
Food Standards Australia also recommended that if anyone is concerned about their health, they should seek medical advice.
