Tracy Grimshaw may be headed to reality TV.
Producers are eyeing the respected former A Current Affair presenter to appear in Channel Nine’s travel guides, according to a new report.
Travel Guides sees ‘ordinary Australians take on the job of being travel critics as they rate their holiday experiences in some of the world’s most popular places’.
Now producers are hoping to launch a celebrity version of the series, he says. New Ideaand they have their sites set up in Tracy.
“Tracy has always turned down any reality TV offers,” a supposed source told the publication.
‘She is a highly respected presenter and journalist. But Travel Guides is all about cultural experiences and fun, so she may well reconsider her stance.’
The possibility of a celebrity version of the show has been inspired by the success of Celebrity Gogglebox Australia.
“That format featured big stars such as Hamish Blake and his wife Zoe Foster Blake, and Terri, Bindi and Robert Irwin. It attracted a huge audience but did not detract from the regular series of Gogglebox Australia,” the source said.

Tracy stepped away from ACA in 2022 and former Today co-host Ally Langdon has filled her role since January last year.
Tracy went on to present the new series Do You Want To Live Forever? since leaving A Current Affair.
The new show examines the secrets of longevity and Tracy herself has been inspired to change some of her habits.
The health and science documentary series will also star Dr Nick Coatsworth, who guides six Australians on a powerful journey to stop the clock and turn back time.

The 64-year-old then underwent digital de-aging, with computer effects showing what she will look like as the years progress.
Throughout the effect, she is eventually shown with grey hair, deep wrinkles and a drooping jowls.
Tracy admitted in the clip that she fears getting older and becoming “frail” and losing her mental strength.
The TV veteran’s next TV project after leaving A Current Affair was confirmed earlier this year.
“I can’t wait to explore exactly what a long life will look like,” Tracey said in a statement about the project.
“I’m kind of a medical nerd, so the research has been a pleasure,” he added.
