The warning was displayed on a screen in Hyde Park in Sydney’s financial district, reminding protesters that displaying Hezbollah symbols is considered a criminal offence.

Senior police officer warns that arrests will be made for bad behavior

A senior police officer has warned rebel pro-Palestine protesters that they risk being arrested for bad behaviour.

New South Wales Police Minister Yasmin Catley issued the warning on Sunday ahead of planned protests in Sydney.

“If everyone does the right thing, there is no problem, there is no problem at all,” he said.

But if you’re not, you may be arrested. It’s as simple as that. There will be no tolerance for bad behavior. There will be no tolerance for racial slurs, zero tolerance from the New South Wales Police.

‘We don’t want war in the Middle East to take place on our streets in Sydney. That anger has no place here.
