An incredibly private island where Russel Crowe once worked as a bingo caller has hit the market with the asking price of $ 40 million.
The 24-acre estate, known as Pakatoa Island, is located between Auckland and the Hauraki Gulf in New Zealand.
It requires a 15-minute or 75-minute helicopter flight by ferry to get to the property.
The island has three pristine beaches, a nine-hole golf course, a helipad and a private dock that can dock a commercial-size ferry.

The island was originally bought by the Salvation Army to serve as a women’s rehab, but more recently has played the role of a holiday destination for its current owner, New Zealand businessman John Ramsay.
The island has been on the market for 25 years, but Ramsay told it NZ Herald in 2018 he is in no hurry to sell.
“If anyone wants to pay that, they can have it or it will stay there.”
Mr. Ramsay first bought real estate for $ 4.25 million in 1994, but now spends only two weeks a year on the island with his three children and six grandchildren.
“We usually spend the Christmas holidays there,” he said.
Despite the long wait to sell, broker John Greenwood said Stuff at least once a month he had received a serious investigation to buy the island.
Mr. Greenwood said the surveys are largely from abroad, with both private buyers and hotel operators seeking to buy their own island.
