A prisoner who allegedly murdered another prisoner has been charged after the victim’s corpse was found in the laundry room of the prison.
The body of a 37-year-old man was found at 4 pm on Wednesday at Woodford Correctional Center, north of Brisbane.
Prison authorities tried to save his life, but he couldn’t be brought back to life.
The facility was shut down and at least one suspect was isolated during the police investigation, The courier post reported.

A 25-year-old man was charged with murder on Monday.
He will appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on July 20.
It happened just 12 hours before another prisoner, Sean Stephen Hatten, committed suicide.
Hatten was jailed for stabbing a teacher 13 times with a penknife.
The police do not believe the incidents are related.
