Princess Sofia of Sweden has revealed how her fourth ‘bonus child’ is affecting her upcoming birthday celebrations.
The royal, who turns 40 today, offered a rare insight into her life during a candid video interview with Fashion Scandinavia.
The mother of three, who revealed she was pregnant in September, shared that she won’t be throwing a big party considering she’s nearing the end of her pregnancy.
Instead, the wife of Prince Carl Philip of Sweden will celebrate the occasion with her closest friends and family. Hello! reported.
Despite not throwing a big party, the princess explained that she is completely happy with the plan, saying: “I’m going to get very pregnant.”

The couple welcomed their first son, Prince Alexander, six, in 2016, followed by their second son, Prince Gabriel, five, in 2017 and their youngest, Prince Julian, three, in 2021.

A statement shared by the Swedish Royal Family at the time of the announcement read: “Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia have great pleasure to announce that the Princess is expecting the couple’s fourth child.
