The son of Princess Margaret Earl Snowdon and his wife announce that they are getting a divorce – the second royal divorce in a week
The count of Snowdon, the son of the late Princess Margaret, and his wife, the countess of Snowdon, has said a spokesperson for the couple.
The count – David Armstrong-Jones – who is known for his high-end furniture company and his wife Serena divorce after more than 25 years of marriage.
A spokesperson for the couple said: ‘The count and countess of Snowdon amicably agree that their marriage has ended and that they will divorce.
“They ask the press to respect their privacy and that of their family.”

The couple marries in October 1993 and has two children Viscount Linley, Charles Armstrong-Jones and Lady Margarita Armstrong-Jones.
The mother of Count Margaret, the Queen’s sister, died in 2002 and became the 2nd Count of Snowdon after the death of his father, the Count of Snowdon, celebrity photographer Antony Armstrong-Jones, in 2017.
The news will be another bitter pill to swallow for Her Majesty, while the royal family continues to suffer a tumultuous start to the year.
