The incredible house, called La Rosa, is located on the Isle of Capri, in the middle of Surfers Paradise, and broke a record in the suburbs when it sold for $4 million.
Visitors enter the unique house through an arched mosaic tunnel only to be greeted by a five-metre-tall bright pink giraffe, playfully designed to look like it has taken a bite out of one of the hanging ceiling lights.
The eclectic design is a mix of Mediterranean, Arabian and Asian elements with fun surprises hidden in every room, from the outdoor bathtub in the backyard to the huge closet in the master bedroom.

Through a curved door you access the common space that houses the cozy living room, the dining area and the gourmet kitchen with a marble island bench that is 100 mm thick and weighs 450 kg.
The Giraffe overlooks the patio with two seating areas under pergolas with fairy lights, lush tropical palm trees and a built-in barbecue.
A mosaic plunge pool sits on the other side of an invisible glass fence and an outdoor shower. A separate indoor gym is located next to the barbecue area.
La Rosa’s designer and first owner, César SolÃs, built the house in 2020. He included the giraffe, as it means “elegance and gentleness.”
“It basically symbolizes the difficult times of Covid and the fact that the house was a collaboration with all the employees and trades,” he said. wellbeing.com.au.

The ground floor also houses the sumptuous master suites with their own private patio, a luxurious bathroom and a huge dressing room.
Flowing white curtains around the bed add a touch of elegance, while the bathroom’s double vanity has a glass backsplash that overlooks the patio, where there is a tiled bathroom.

‘There was a huge amount of interest. “I’ve never seen so many people at a housewarming, we had over 100 people on the property,” she said.
“Walking through the grotto tunnel is phenomenal, it is so spectacular and unique that you feel like you are walking into the Mediterranean.”
Avalon said the new owners are “big travelers” but love the space so much they don’t feel the need to book as many getaways.
“When he walked through that door, that was the feeling it evoked in him, he said, ‘I don’t need to travel anymore, I just booked a cruise, but now I just want to stay home!'” the agent recalled.
