Princess Diana is said to be ‘heartbroken’ about the state of the relationship between Prince William and Prince Harry, a royal photographer claims.
The Duke, 35 and Duchess of Sussex, 38 returned to the UK earlier this month for their final assignments before retiring as senior members of the royal family on March 31.
Prince Harry and brother Prince William, 37, reunited last Monday for the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey, with royal guards calling their interaction “ frosty. ”
And now royal photographer Jayne Fincher has told Page six how their mother Princess Diana ‘would do anything to be the peacemaker’ and restore their relationship, saying how ‘devastated’ Prince Charles, 71, will be about the situation.
A royal photographer has revealed how Princess Diana would be ‘heartbroken’ over Prince William, 37, and Prince Harry’s, 35, current relationship
Jayne said, “She shook the boy’s heads together and said,” For God’s sake. What is happening here? “and I think she would try to make peace between the girls too. ‘
She added that Prince Charles was probably also upset by his sons’ relationship and said, “Charles must be broken because he’s very close to those boys … That must be very devastating for him.”
Jayne, who worked as a royal photographer for the family for 20 years, said that Prince William and Prince Harry as children had ‘done everything’ together and were very close.
But she also noted how the brothers’ personalities always differed.
Jayne Fincher said Princess Diana would act as a “peacemaker” between the two brothers, who once enjoyed a close friendship (pictured in 1987)
She described Prince Harry as “a pretty confident little boy,” while Prince William was less so.
She explained how the Duke of Sussex as a child was ‘the one who really wasn’t disturbed’ by media and photographers.
She added that it was the Duke of Cambridge who had ‘his head down’ like Princess Diana hated every minute of it.
Jayne’s comments come after a royal source told it People magazine that the relationship of Prince William and Prince Harry “has changed forever.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reunited for the first time since Megxit announced to the Commonwealth Service last week with Prince William and Kate Middleton, with some considering the reception icy
About their once-close friendship, the source said, “They’re not going back as they were. Harry and his family are looking forward to his future. ‘
It follows the ongoing claims over the past 18 months of a gap between the Sussexes and the Cambridges, first between Kate and Meghan, then between future King Prince William and his younger brother, Harry.
The ‘Fab Four’ appeared in February 2018 to promote ‘the Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’.
But the two households broke up, and Harry and Meghan left Kensington Palace for Frogmore Cottage in Windsor and appointed their own staff.
From March 31, the monarch’s grandson and American former actress Meghan will no longer use their HRH styles as they pursue a new life of personal and financial freedom.
