Princess Beatrice has said her mother is “everything fine” after a “complicated health scare last year”.
The royal, 35, told ITV’s This Morning that Sarah Ferguson is “thriving” at 64, after being diagnosed with breast and skin cancer in the space of just months.
She told the program that both she and her sister, Princess Eugenie, are “very proud” of her for “getting the checks she needs” and have “modeled their own health considerations around that.”
“We have to support each other when someone goes through a health problem,” he added. “There is nothing more important than family.”

Sarah was dealt a devastating blow in January when doctors discovered malignant melanoma during a second reconstructive surgery following her breast cancer diagnosis last year.
The news came as a “huge shock” to Prince Andrew’s ex-wife, affectionately nicknamed Fergie, although friends said she was determined to “recover”.
The Mail revealed that the duchess had undergone further surgery to examine the area around the mole which turned out to be malignant, as well as her lymph nodes.
A friend had said she had just learned that everyone was “cancer free” and doctors believed the disease had not spread.
While she must continue to be vigilant and undergo regular check-ups every 12 weeks, the news was “the best possible outcome I could have hoped for” and her prognosis is good.
“After the melanoma diagnosis, she underwent another surgery to examine the area around the mole that turned out to be malignant and her lymph nodes,” the Duchess’ friend explained.
“The good news is that all of them have been found to be cancer-free, so it appears that the disease has not spread and the prognosis is good, although they will need to have regular check-ups in the future.”
In March, the Duchess of York (pictured this month) was told there appeared to be no spread of her skin cancer after another surgery.

The friend added: “She is very lucky that the melanoma was caught early thanks to the vigilance of her dermatologist, who had several moles checked while she underwent reconstructive surgery after her mastectomy.”
