The upcoming Prince Harry Pocket Edition, Replacement According to royal watchers, this could indicate lingering tensions within the Royal Family. As the Duke of Sussex prepares for his debut next month, speculation is mounting that he could use the opportunity to further address his strained relations with King Charles and Prince William.
Royal expert Dr Tessa Dunlop said: The mirror“Those who suggest that this paperback release, without additional material, is an olive branch are sadly mistaken. New material may be conciliatory; Harry could have taken the initiative and started with a different foreword, expressing regret at how things turned out and reiterating his good wishes for Kate and the King.”
However, the decision to refrain from adding any new content, according to Dunlop, reflects the “cold war” that is being waged within the Royal Family. “The fact that he has chosen not to speak is indicative of the cold war that persists within the Royal Family. On the eve of his 40th birthday, there is little sign of reconciliation. The awkward stalemate persists. I have a hunch that, deep down, Harry regrets some of the things he has written, but, like so many men, is too proud to admit it.”
Dunlop also suggested that continuing to air his grievances could damage Harry’s public image, especially given the delicate health problems affecting both his father, King Charles, and sister-in-law, Kate Middleton. “Complaining too much does his brand no favours, and with cancer affecting both his father and sister-in-law Kate, now is not the time to make another pop,” he added.
As the paperback release date approaches, all eyes will be on Prince Harry to see whether the content will provide new insights into the current rift or further deepen the divide within the Royal Family.
