Prince Harry reportedly spent the night of his 40th birthday with friends instead of spending it with Meghan.
The Duke of Sussex went on a hiking trip to celebrate his age milestone and didn’t mention his wife in his birthday thank-you message.
It comes after the couple made a series of separate plans, including Harry’s solo trips to London and Lesotho in recent weeks.
The duke has appeared at ten solo engagements in the past 15 days without his wife as he embarked on a “quasi-royal tour” of three countries including New York, London and Lesotho.
Sources close to the Sussexes maintain that it was Meghan who booked the hiking trip for Harry and his friends.

Harry participated in the 14th Annual Concordia Summit in support of the Diana Award in New York last Monday.
It has also been reported that Meghan walked out of a charity event she was going to attend with Prince Harry because she was “sick.”
Meghan was last seen the day before Harry’s birthday and she barely stayed at his Montecito home for periods of time earlier this year while he was said to be “depressed” alone in a local cafe.
Last year, it was claimed the couple spent long periods apart, but sources close to them denied this. It was said that, like any couple, they have disagreements but they remain strong.
But Meghan has reportedly become frustrated with Harry’s court cases in the UK over her right to security.
It has also been reported that the couple have disagreed over how to raise their children, Archie, five, and Lilibet, three.
Harry did not want the children to be seen in public in case they were photographed, but Meghan would apparently prefer to allow them to attend more local events, a source told The Sun.
