Prince Harry has revealed that he and his wife, Meghan Markle, have no plans to return to the UK with their two children.
The Duke of Sussex, 40, shared his desire to remain in the United States at the annual DealBook Summit in New York on Wednesday, where he cited security as a factor in his decision to stay.
“I really enjoy living here and raising my children here,” Prince Harry said, according to The times.
According to the publication’s report, there are activities you can do with your children that you “certainly couldn’t do in the UK.”
They added that Harry was focused on “being the best husband and the best father I can be.”
Harry and Meghan, 43, left royal duties in 2020 and moved to Montecito, California, with their two children, Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three, in June of that year.
Since Harry and Meghan quit the Royal Family, the couple have spoken about how the Firm could have done more to support Meghan during her time in the UK.
In her Netflix series, Meghan detailed her first meeting with the Prince and Princess of Wales and how she was surprised to learn that the Royal Family’s formality was continuing behind closed doors.

She said: ‘Even when Will and Kate came and I met her for the first time, I remember she was wearing ripped jeans and was barefoot.
“Like I’m a hugger, I’ve always been a hugger, but I didn’t realize that’s really jarring for a lot of Brits.”
“I started to understand that the formality on the outside carries over to the inside, that there’s a forward-facing way of being and then you close the door and you’re like, ‘Okay, now we can relax.’
“But that formality applies to both sides and that surprised me.”
In Prince Harry’s biography Spare, the Duke claimed the Princess of Wales was “nervous” about Meghan’s arrival and how she would be “forced to compete” with the actress.
In her explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey, Meghan revealed that she began experiencing suicidal thoughts while pregnant with Archie in 2019 and did not receive the support she needed.
Elsewhere in his appearance at the summit, the Duke spoke out against banning social media for children, stating that doing so “creates all sorts of problems”.
According to the Times report, he said banning social media for children made no sense because removing it could lead to family fights and bullying on the playground.
Prince Harry said of life in America: “I really enjoy living here and raising my children here.”
He shares son Archie, five, and daughter Lilibet, three, with wife Meghan.
Harry, however, stated that social media companies should be subject to greater transparency and accountability.
Earlier today, it was revealed that Harry enlisted the services of his neighbor Katy Perry to sing at the opening night of her Invictus Games, which take place on February 8, 2025.
The Grammy-nominated star will headline the inaugural event for disabled military veterans in Vancouver, Canada.
Katy is by far the biggest star to appear at the biannual event attended by Harry and his wife Meghan.
She and her partner, British actor Orlando Bloom, are close neighbors of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in Montecito, California.
The couple were among the guests at Harry and Meghan’s daughter Lilibet’s third birthday party at their mansion in the posh California enclave favored by many A-list stars.
The Invictus Games will be the first major event Harry and Meghan attended together after reports emerged that they were going their separate ways on their engagements.
