Prince Harry pays tribute to Britain’s inspirational seriously-ill children as he issues new video asking for nominations for 2024’s WellChild Awards

Prince Harry has paid tribute to Britain’s inspiring seriously ill children by releasing a new video calling for nominations for the 2024 WellChild Awards.

In the video posted on Twitter, he says: The Well Child Awards are our chance to celebrate the extraordinary strength and spirit of young people with complex medical conditions across the UK.

‘It allows us to highlight the resilience and positivity they demonstrate every day and recognize the incredible support of the families, friends and professionals around them.

It is a great privilege to honor the immense courage and compassion of this incredible community, but to do so we need you to take a moment and nominate the notable people who inspire you. Your participation makes a big difference, so join us in celebrating the incredible superstars who will be recognized at the 32024 WellChild Awards.’

The Duke of Sussex has been a patron of the organization for 16 years.

Last year she attended the WellChild Awards at the Hurlingham Club in London, where she praised her late grandmother, saying “as you probably also know, she would have been the first person to insist that I still come to be with you all instead of going to his.

“And that is precisely why I know that, exactly one year later, she is looking at all of us tonight, happy that we are together and continuing to highlight such an incredible community.”
