Prince Harry is reportedly heading off on holiday with his “closest friends” to celebrate his 40th birthday while Meghan is staying at home.
The Duke of Sussex is reportedly jetting off on a getaway after a birthday party at his £11million home in Montecito, California, with his family.
Harry ‘will enjoy a weekend getaway with some of his closest friends’, according to a report The sun.
Meanwhile, Meghan will remain in California with the couple’s two children, Archie, five, and Lilibet, three.
It comes ten years after Harry celebrated his 30th birthday with his brother, Prince William, and Princess Catherine, along with other friends in the UK.
Friends of the Prince have recently said he is growing increasingly unhappy with his life in the United States.
Speaking to The Times last month, a friend claimed they are among the few who receive “any WhatsApps from him”, adding: “He’s an angry boy. Things haven’t worked out the way he wanted them to.”

People close to Harry have claimed that he appears to enjoy trips to the UK alone, while his wife Meghan prefers not to enter the country.
Harry revealed on Wednesday that his two children are the “best gift” he has received ahead of his 40th birthday.
Ahead of Sunday’s milestone, the Duke of Sussex emailed People magazine to reveal the joy he’s getting from his son and daughter.
Harry wrote in the email: “The best gift I have ever received is, without a doubt, my children. I enjoy watching them grow every day and I love being their father.”
The people, who are known to be close to the Sussexes, also reported that Harry was now “focused on enjoying life” with his family “after years of self-reflection”.
Additionally, the publication cited her ongoing work through the Archewell Foundation projects and the upcoming Netflix documentary Polo, set to premiere in December.

Harry is set to kick off his birthday with Meghan, Archie and Lilibet in a low-key celebration at his mansion in Montecito.
People said this would be “followed by a reunion with close friends internationally,” while Hello! reported that she would be heading on a “weekend getaway” to the mountains with her closest friends.
Harry will also embark on a solo trip to New York City later this month to “promote a number of his patronages and philanthropic initiatives,” his team said.
The visit will take place during the UN General Assembly High-Level Week, from 23 to 27 September, and Climate Week, from 22 to 29 September.
