A royal expert has warned Prince Harry about the rapidly deteriorating relationship with his father, King Charles, who is reportedly undergoing cancer treatment. Royal commentator Jack Royston spoke about the tense dynamic between Harry and his father in the Royal Beat – Book Club Podcast, suggesting that their relationship may have reached the “point of total disintegration.”
talking to daily expressRoyston explained that when Harry first heard about King Charles’ illness, he immediately flew to Britain to see him. “When (Harry) found out his father was sick, he had cancer, he flew straight to Britain. He spent half an hour, or 45 minutes, with his father before Charles left for Sandringham,” Royston shared.
However, during Harry’s subsequent visit in May, he was reportedly informed that he could not meet Charles, and the Palace issued a statement through a spokesperson stating that the King had “other priorities.”
Royston noted that on Harry’s two recent trips to Britain, there appears to have been little effort on Charles’ part to arrange additional meetings, despite the seriousness of the circumstances. “I think that’s probably the biggest warning sign that (their relationship) could now be at a point of total disintegration,” he said.
The lack of contact between King Charles and his son has fueled speculation that their relationship may be irreparable, a sad development as the king faces health problems. Since the royal family often remains tight-lipped on personal matters, this rift has left many wondering if the distance between Harry and his father can be bridged.
