Royal expert Tina Brown shared her insights into Harry’s motivations on The Ankler Podcastsuggesting he was captivated by Meghan’s confidence and experience in the entertainment industry. “He (Harry) was terribly impressed with Meghan,” Brown noted. “He thought she knew everything. She convinced him that she was the slick Hollywood dealer who could come in and make them stars and all that. And he just followed her blindly, like he was a child, really.”
As the couple continue their lives in the US, recent news about Prince Harry’s purchase of a property in Portugal suggests they are broadening their horizons. Interestingly, the property is close to the holiday home of her cousin Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank, which could provide a family connection for her children, Archie and Lilibet, to their cousins in Europe.
Royal author Hugo Vickers commented on this development, saying the sun“I think the connection between the Brooksbank children and Prince Harry’s children could be very significant as the years go by because they will meet their cousins as they grow up. And that could be a very good way in.”
Vickers also reflected on how this family bond could affect Archie and Lilibet as they grow up, particularly in relation to their British royal roots. “I’ve always thought it’s very sad for Archie and Lilibet that one day they realize that their cousin is going to be king of England,” he said. “Normally, you’d rather be involved in all that, I would have thought. “It could be a very interesting extension of life and therefore could be a wonderful route into it.”
