Prince Harry left TK Maxx on Kensington High Street with a shopping bag in 2013

Although he now often opts for luxury brands, there was a time when Prince Harry could be spotted shopping at a popular discount designer store.

In his younger years he would shop for bargains at TK Maxx in Kensington, a stone’s throw from his home, and was occasionally photographed leaving with the distinctive red logo on a tote bag.

The prince revealed in his book Spare how he visited the High Street store for his ‘casual wear’.

It seems like his wardrobe has taken a different approach in recent years: Harry wears luxurious Loro Piana loafers and custom Dior suits.

However, he was always on the lookout for bargains, writing, “I especially loved their annual sales, when they were lined up with items from Gap or J. Crew, items that had gone out of season or were slightly less popular.” damaged’.

Since the book’s release two years ago, TK Maxx has disputed that it was making annual sales and a spokesperson told the Emphatic: ‘Although we’re happy that he’s a big fan, we thought we should explain that we don’t actually do sales.

“Instead, we offer great value, style and savings all year round.”

The Duke of Sussex described a method he said could “look like a fashion plate” for “two hundred pounds”.

He outfitted himself with a new wardrobe by “systematically walking up one rack and down the other” and holding the garment against his body to quickly see if it fit, he wrote.

The Prince went for clothes that ‘looked nice and comfortable’ and did not worry about the ‘colour or style’.

In 2013, Harry was photographed leaving TK Maxx after reportedly bagging a T-shirt, hoody and an iPhone case for £160, according to The mirror.

His choice of clothing about ten years ago was certainly different than it is today.

In 2011, he had the same Le Chameau Vierzon boots as Princess Kate, which retailed for £220.

They proved perfectly suited to watch a football match near Sandringham on Christmas Eve that year.

During a visit to the Bahamas in 2012, Harry was spotted wearing a pair of brown desert boots from Russell & Bromley.

The Mail’s Rebecca English reported at the time how the model, called ‘Chuck’, sold for £115.

The Princess of Wales has been known to wear Russell & Bromley on several occasions.

During an outing for the Invictus Games in 2017, Harry wore a pair of £70 Dockers chinos to a cycling event at Toronto’s High Park.

They must have been a favorite of the Royal as he reportedly wore them three days in a row.

Harry wore an Arc’teryx quilted jacket to a Heads Together event with Prince William and Kate at the Olympic Park the same year.

Styles similar to Harry’s navy blue coat sell for around £300 and the Prince certainly got his money’s worth and has been spotted wearing it on several occasions.

More recently, Harry’s style has shifted to more expensive designer brands.

He showed off a pair of Loro Piana loafers priced at £500 in Nigeria in May.

During the same trip, which he completed with his wife Meghan Markle, Harry also wore a cream-colored jacket from the same brand. Similar styles retail for £3,000.

According to City and countryHarry wore a luxurious Giorgio Armani suit to the 2024 EPSYS awards ceremony in Los Angeles in July.

Similar suits cost more than £2,000 on the designer’s website, and Harry looked dapper as he collected the Pat Tillman Award for Service.

He also seems to be particularly fond of Dior and has worn several pieces from the fashion house in recent years.

For the King’s coronation in 2023, the Prince wore a custom three-piece suit designed by Dior’s artistic director Kim Jones.

Harry’s mother, the late Princess Diana, was also a fan of Dior and wore their designs in the months before her death, including at the 1996 Met Gala.

However, in 2018, the prince moved to another fashion house and wore a Givenchy three-piece suit to Princess Eugenie’s wedding.
