Prince Harry and his wife Meghan did not attend last night’s star-studded Super Bowl game despite the duke’s recent appearance at an NFL awards event.
The couple were rumored to be joining many A-list celebrities, including Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, Jay Z and Sir Paul McCartney, at the biggest American football game of the year, which took place in Las Vegas.
But the couple were notably absent from the festivities ahead of a trip to Canada for the opening ceremony of the Invictus Games in a matter of days.
Last night the Kansas City Chiefs won with a last-minute overtime touchdown in an exciting game against the San Francisco 49ers.
Last week, Prince Harry made an appearance at the NFL Honors also held in Sin City after returning from a trip to the United Kingdom to visit his cancer-stricken father.
At the awards ceremony, which came just 24 hours after his aerial visit to London, Harry presented the prestigious Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award to Cameron Heyward of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

American football bosses had invited Harry and Meghan to the Super Bowl, according to the Mirror.
An NFL insider told the publication: “It is well known that the Prince loves football and bosses have extended an invitation to him following his appearance at the awards.”
However, Page six reported that the couple would not be attending the game because they are busy preparing for their trip to Canada for the inaugural Invictus Games event this week.
During Thursday night’s NFL awards ceremony, Harry made some jokes at the expense of football.
He told the crowd: ‘Good night, NFL. It is an honor to be with all of you tonight. “I really love how you stole rugby from us and made it your own.”
‘Instead of passing it backwards, simply pass it forwards. Why not use protection and a helmet? Of course, having attack and defense, that makes sense.
Taylor Swift appeared almost in tears while watching the Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in Sin City before sharing several kisses with her boyfriend Travis Kelce.

‘And why not take a breath every 15 seconds? And you know what, instead of a 10-month season, let’s make it 18 weeks. Genius. Joking aside, what you guys do on and off the field is truly extraordinary. You are role models to millions in the way you conduct yourself and the way you give back.’
