Prince Harry and Meghan Markle apologize for 'slavery,' royal expert says

Meghan Markle reportedly stepped in to save Prince Harry from a potential faux pas during his trip to Colombia. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were questioned about the royal family’s history of slavery during their tour of South America, and it was Meghan who helped them get through the situation without incident.

Speaking to GB NewsRoyal expert Angela Levin shared her thoughts on the incident: “What was very, very difficult to understand or accept was that they apologized to Harry for the slaves… he has no understanding to do so. If by any chance he did, we can’t say because they didn’t have any sound, you can’t hear it.”

Levin also speculated that Meghan played a crucial role in managing the situation. “I imagine Meghan wanted to maintain control and Harry didn’t want any journalists to know exactly what he was saying… there was no volume. So you couldn’t really tell what they were doing, but he was asked, he was listened to, and you don’t know what he said. If he wants to take that on and say something about it, it’s going to be very, very difficult for the King.”

The incident highlights the complexities facing Prince Harry in his post-royal life. Since stepping down The Royal Family in 2020Harry and Meghan have frequently been in the spotlight, particularly after making public accusations of racism within the royal institution. The couple, who now reside in California with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, have been outspoken about their experiences, which have often put them at odds with the British monarchy.

As Prince Harry continues to try to balance his new life with his royal past, moments like these highlight the challenges and sensitivities involved. Meghan’s intervention in Colombia serves as a reminder of the delicate situations they often find themselves in and the potential repercussions that could arise from their actions or statements.
