“It’s sad when things change, but I think something else will happen over time,” MacCarthy says.

‘There has been an increase in costs, electricity is very high and it has been more difficult to recruit staff.

“Despite having a very busy summer, it is difficult to run a business 12 months a year if it is seasonal and only profitable for a few months.”
