The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh hit the slopes in Switzerland while enjoying a ski holiday in the exclusive resort of St Moritz.
Prince Edward and his wife Sophie, both 59, were accompanied by Suzie Watt, the wife of Governor of the Royal Hospital Sir Redmond Watt, during their snow-filled trip through the Swiss Alps.
The royal couple arrived on Saturday with friends, but without their children, Lady Louise Windsor, 20, and James, Earl of Wessex, 16.
Edward and Sophie appeared to be in high spirits as they showed off their skiing skills before sharing a chairlift with a group of schoolchildren.
St Moritz is something of a celebrity haven for die-hard skiers, frequently visited by the likes of John Travolta, Liz Hurley and Ivana Trump, as well as a host of royals.

Prince William was also due to give a reading, but pulled out at the last minute for “personal reasons.”
No further details were given about William’s absence, and it is not known whether this relates to the ongoing recovery of his wife, the Princess of Wales, following her abdominal surgery last month.
