The Duke of York said that at no time during the limited time I spent with & # 39; disgraceful financier Jeffrey Epstein & # 39; I have seen, seen or suspected such conduct that subsequently led to his arrest and conviction.
The prince spoke out during intensive research into his close relationship with pedophile billionaire Jeffrey Epstein after he died in a prison in Manhattan two weeks ago.
In a statement, Andrew said: & # 39; It has been clear to me since Mr. Epstein's suicide that there has been an enormous amount of media speculation in his life.
& # 39; This is particularly the case with regard to my former relationship or friendship with Mr. Epstein.
The Duke of York said that at no time during the limited time I spent with & # 39; shameful financier Jeffrey Epstein & # 39; I saw, saw or suspected such conduct that subsequently led to his arrest and conviction & # 39;
& # 39; That is why I want to clarify the facts to prevent further speculation.
& # 39; I met Mr. Epstein in 1999. During the time I knew him, I didn't see him often and probably no more than just once or twice a year. I have stayed in a number of his homes.
& # 39; During the limited time I have spent with him, I have not seen any behavior at any stage that subsequently led to his arrest and conviction.
& # 39; I said before that it was a mistake and a mistake to see him after his release in 2010 and I can only reiterate my regret that I was mistaken to think that what I thought I knew about him apparently was not the real person, given what we know now.
& # 39; I have tremendous sympathy for everyone affected by his actions and behavior.
& # 39; His suicide has left many unanswered questions and I acknowledge and sympathize with everyone who is affected and wants some form of closure.
& # 39; This is a difficult time for all involved and I cannot understand or explain Mr Epstein's lifestyle.
He added: & # 39; I regret the exploitation of a person and would not approve, participate in or encourage such behavior. & # 39;
His statement comes after a former police officer claimed that the & # 39; Mrs. & # 39; from Epstein Ghislaine Maxwell made several secret visits to Buckingham Palace to visit Prince Andrew.
Paul Page, who served in the Royal Protection Command from 1998 to 2004, claimed that Maxwell and several other women were traveling to the palace to meet the Duke of York.
He said the female guests would not sign the palace gate book and royal protection officers would even drive them home or be confronted by an angry Andrew who & # 39; insulting & # 39; would be if he was challenged.
Video obtained by the Mail on Sunday shows that Andrew is waving at a woman from Epstein's New York mansion and the royal dog is being chased by claims from Epstein & # 39; s alleged & # 39; sex slave & # 39; Virginia Roberts that she slept with him three times.
The Prince categorically denies Roberts' allegations and there is no suggestion that he slept with underage women.
The palace has also issued a statement in which the claims of Mr. Page & # 39; not substantiated & # 39; and draws attention to his conviction for fraud and his time in prison.
It comes when he is confronted with further lurid accusations of having more than 1,000 lovers, according to the sun.

A former police officer has now claimed that Prince Andrew Maxwell has invited to make & # 39; secret journeys & # 39; to Buckingham Palace

Maxwell has been accused of acting as a & # 39; Mrs. & # 39; and girls to recruit & # 39; sex slaves & # 39; for Epstein, although she has denied the claims.
Ex-Met officer Page made allegations against the Duke of York during a trial in 2009, where he was charged with £ 3 million investment fraud.
Page's statement was never disclosed to the jury, but has now been revealed for the first time.
According to the mirror, Page claimed: & # 39; It was not only royalty protection officers who abused their position, members of the Royal House often did that.
& # 39; The greatest offender was Prince Andrew. Andrew often had friends come to visit, including frequent visits from Ghislaine Maxwell, daughter of the shamed late Robert Maxwell. & # 39;
Page was found guilty of the fraud and was sentenced to six years in prison, although his boss, former Chief Superintendent and head of Royal Protection Dai Davies, confirmed some of his claims.
He said: & # 39; This has happened. Royals can bring their guests to the palace without permission. That is their privilege. It is their home.
& # 39; Unless there was anything that would give cause for concern, royal officers could not intervene.

Andrew is said to have & # 39; abuse & # 39; when he was challenged by Buckingham Palace officers about his female visitors
& # 39; It was especially the case with that person who had the reputation of being fairly concise with his words when the police tried to intervene. He is known to be abrupt with the police, including myself on occasions.
& # 39; It is fair to say and well documented that he was involved with some pretty glamorous good looking young ladies, but I have never known that there were minors back then or since. & # 39;
Buckingham Palace told Mail Online: “During the trial, which resulted in a conviction for fraud, Mr. Page a series of accusations about the royal family and members of the royal family, none of which were substantiated. & # 39;
It comes when the Duke of York has told friends that he is afraid never to return to the US with the Jeffrey Epstein case above his head.
Andrew has not set foot in the country since early 2017 and sources say that plans to launch a business initiative there later this year have been put on ice.
According to the sources of the Mail, the prince is concerned about a civil proceeding brought by some of the many victims of pedophile Epstein.
Andrew & # 39; s (left) friendship with Epstein (right) dates back to at least 1999. In 2000, Andrew invited the financier and his ex-girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell, the daughter of the late newspaper tycoon Robert Maxwell, for a party at Windsor Castle thrown by the queen
At least five women claiming to have been abused by the financier have filed a lawsuit against his £ 458 million estate after being hanged in his prison cell in New York on August 10, pending trial of sex trafficking.
Since Epstein was arrested last month, Andrew has tried to distance himself from his old friend and himself & # 39; shocked & # 39; explained by reports about the & # 39; alleged crimes & # 39 ;.
But the efforts were undermined by the emergence of details about how he organized the pedophile in Balmoral, and by photographs of the royal in Epstein & # 39; s New York mansion in 2010 – two years after the banker was convicted of sex with a child.
The insider told the mail: & # 39; Andrew has said openly that he cannot see how he can go back to the US with everything that is going on right now.
& # 39; I know this is a source of immense frustration for him as it is one of his favorite places in the world to visit. & # 39; The source said the prince & # 39; high expectations & # 39; had had to bring his successful Pitch @ Palace plan – an initiative of the Dragons in Den-style for entrepreneurs – to the United States in the following year or so.
Andrew traveled to the United States twice for official affairs in 2013, taking Florida, California and New York, but there was no publicly registered trip in 2014, 2015 or 2016. He visited again in May 2017, traveling through California (photo ), but has not returned since then and has no plans to go in the near future
It is something that he reportedly brought when US President Donald Trump – another former friend of Epstein – came to the UK earlier this year for his state visit.
The two men had already met when Mr. Trump threw a private lunch for Andrew at Trump Tower during a visit to New York in September 2006.
But the source added: & # 39; Plans to bring Pitch to the US have certainly been put on the ice for the time being. Andrew is very disappointed because he wants to get a foothold there for a long time. & # 39;
Andrew & # 39; s friendship with Epstein goes back to at least 1999. In 2000, the financier and his ex-girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell, the daughter of the deceased newspaper magnate Robert Maxwell, were invited by Andrew for a party at Windsor Castle held by the queen was thrown.
Miss Maxwell, also a friend of Andrew, has been accused by some victims of Epstein of his & # 39; procurer & # 39; to be a charge that she denies.
Epstein and Miss Maxwell were also guests of Andrew in Sandringham and the Queen's Balmoral Estates and spent holidays with him in Florida and Thailand.
In 2011, Andrew was forced to quit as a UK trade envoy after being proposed to meet Epstein after his release from prison for child sex.
Andrew traveled to the United States twice for official affairs in 2013, taking Florida, California and New York, but there was no publicly registered trip in 2014, 2015 or 2016. He visited again in May 2017, traveled around California, but has not gone back since and has no plans to go for the foreseeable future.
The Duke of York has kept a low profile by playing golf at Valderra, especially the luxurious development of Sotogrande and
One of the women who filed lawsuits against the Epstein estate – Virginia Roberts, now Giuffre – has also claimed that Epstein was forced three times between 1999 and 2001 to have sex with Andrew.
The allegations, first made in 2015, were officially removed from court records by a judge who ruled that they were & # 39; intangible & # 39; and there is no suggestion that Andrew has anything to fear for those allegations.
Now French probe for trafficking in women
French prosecutors have investigated claims of rape and sexual abuse against Epstein.
They said the allegations relate to women and girls from 15 years of age. Prosecutors will also investigate investigations that he and others have participated for years in a large ring in child trafficking.
The prosecutor of Paris, Remy Heitz, said: "The investigation will focus on possible crimes against French victims on national territory and abroad and on suspects who are French nationals."
The move came after American investigators in France had found links with the disgraceful financier, who died this month awaiting a lawsuit against new sex trade charges. Epstein had just arrived in Paris in the US, where he owned an expensive apartment when he was arrested.
One of Epstein's close friends was the French model magnate Jean-Luc Brunel, who was accused in legal documents of purchasing young girls for Epstein and rape. Brunel has denied the accusations, but it has not been heard since the financier was indicted in early July.
But sources close to the royal party say he seems to be sufficiently worried about cooperating with other allegations against Epstein not to travel back to the US.
Just a few days ago, Mrs. Roberts' lawyer, Brad Edwards, urged the prince to cooperate to help the victims of Epstein guarantee justice. He said: & # 39; I look forward to coordinating a formal statement giving him the opportunity to tell us everything he knows. & # 39;
US legal experts say that if Andrew is supposed to have information relevant to one of the civil proceedings, someone might want to & # 39; deposit & # 39; – ask him to make a statement.
It is also possible that he can be regarded as a witness in every criminal case concerning the death of Epstein.
Lawyers say it would be hard to force him to go to the US to testify, but if he set foot in the country, he could be summoned for his testimony.
In response to the story of the Mail, Buckingham Palace said: “We would not comment on alleged conversations or the speculative premise behind the question, but would point out that the case you refer to concerns proceedings in the United States , at which the Duke of York is not a party. Every suggestion of impropriety with minors is categorically not true.
& # 39; It is emphatically denied that the Duke of York had any form of sexual contact or relationship with Virginia Roberts. Any statement to the contrary is false and unfounded. & # 39;
A source said that during his work as Special Representative for International Trade and Investment between 2001 and 2011, Andrew was asked to travel to the US regularly.
Since giving up this role in 2011, they maintained that Andrew had continued to travel to the US, but claimed that his focus, especially with Pitch @ Palaces, on & # 39; other markets & # 39; was focused.
Prince Andrew & # 39; has had more than 1,000 lovers & # 39; but would never sleep with teenagers, friends claim if he faces further investigation into ties with pedophile Jeffrey Epstein
Prince Andrew is confronted with claims that he has had more than 1,000 lovers in more lurid accusations following the suicide of Jeffrey Epstein.
According to the sun, good friends say that sex & # 39; a great thing & # 39; is in the life of Prince Andrew, although they insisted that he & # 39; does not like young girls & # 39 ;.
The Duke of York has been looking intensively over the past few weeks after his close relationship with billionaire pedophile Epstein was revealed, with photos taken with his arm around the waist of the & # 39; sex slave & # 39; of the dishonored financier Virginia Roberts, then 17 years old.
According to the friend, Andrew just likes & # 39; simple sex & # 39; and never slept with teenagers.
The source added that the Duke of York has balanced a & # 39; playboy & # 39; lifestyle with his royal duties and responsibilities to his family.
The playboy lifestyle of Prince Andrew and the apparent desire for new relationships is also the reason he didn't marry Sarah Ferguson again, friends claim.
Andrew's apparent desire for new relationships is also the reason that he is not married to Sarah Ferguson again, his claim in the inner circle, although the former pair stays close.
& # 39; He was known as Randy Andy for a reason when he was younger and it never really stopped.
& # 39; Traveling all over the world as the UK trade ambassador and for other royal duties has given him access to some beautiful women and he has fully benefited. & # 39;
Prince Andrew was introduced to Epstein in the 1990s and remained a friend even after the financier had imposed a 13-month prison sentence for sex with underage girls and became a registered sex offender.

The Duke of York was also romantically associated with Bond girls Carolyn Seaward (left) and Katie Rabett (right)
The & # 39; sex slave & # 39; van Epstein, Virginia Roberts, claimed in court cases that she was forced to have sex with the Duke of York when she was 17.
She claimed that Andrew slept with her three times, although the royal party strongly denied the allegations.
And his good friend insisted that although he & # 39; contacts & # 39; with over 1,000 women, he is not interested in teenage girls because beautiful women make him & # 39; attractive & # 39; find.
Prince Andrew wiped the furore around him this week with a round of golf in Spain, where he is on vacation with ex-wife Sarah.
He stays close to Sarah because he has the & # 39; stability & # 39; needs, according to the friend who admitted that most of Andrew's romances are falling apart quickly.
The divorced couple Andrew and Fergie were seen getting off a private jet at Malaga Airport last week following the Epstein suicide in New York.
The duke and duchess were taken by limousine to the luxury resort of Sotogrande, where they have been on holiday together since 2009, often in their favorite private villa with a value of £ 38 million.
Buckingham Palace said in a statement this week: "The Duke of York is appalled by recent reports about the alleged crimes of Jeffrey Epstein … and the suggestion that he would approve, participate in, or encourage such behavior is horrible & # 39;
Prince & # 39; got foot massage by 2 Russian women in Epstein Mansion & # 39;
Prince Andrew was seen in the New York apartment of Jeffrey Epstein who received a foot massage from two young Russian women, according to a report in the US.
Literary agent John Brockman said he walked into the Upper East Side mansion to find a middle-aged Englishman who got the massage.
The man, wearing a suit and braces, was presented to Mr. Brockman, an influential agent who represents leading scientific writers, as & # 39; Andy & # 39 ;.
It was only then & # 39; Andy & # 39; he began to complain bitterly that, unlike him, Prince Albert of Monaco could misbehave as he wanted in private and got away with it, that his identity penetrated Mr. Brockman.
Prince Andrew was photographed in the New York mansion of Jeffrey Epstein in 2010, a lady waving who was seen coming through the front door and going
& # 39; At that time I realized that the recipient of Irina's foot massage was His Royal Highness, Prince Andrew, Duke of York, & # 39; he told a customer in an email exchange published in an American magazine.
The incident, which appears to date back to early 2011 after Epstein was released from prison for a sexual conviction of children, provides further potentially compromising evidence of the duke's relationship with the alleged pedophile and sex trader.
Although Buckingham Palace yesterday refused to comment on Mr. Brockman's report, it will put further pressure on Prince Andrew to explain his involvement with Epstein.
The financier was hanged in his prison cell on August 10, pending a lawsuit against sex trafficking charges. In a response on behalf of the prince, a spokesman for the palace said last night: & # 39; We would like to repeat our earlier statement: & # 39; Any suggestion of impropriety with minors is categorically false & # 39;. & # 39;
Mr Brockman's description of his brief meeting with Andrew – of which an insider from the Palace claimed that it is & # 39; not an account that we recognize & # 39; – would roughly correspond to a reported four-day stay he had at Epstein's home during Christmas in 2010.
Email that brought Andrew to the attention
From: John Brockman
To: Evgeny Morozov
The last time I visited his home (the largest private home in NYC), I came in to find him in a training suit and a British man in a suit with suspenders, receiving foot massages from two young, well-dressed Russian women.
After calling me about cyber security for a while, the Brit, named Andy, commented on the Swedish authorities and the charges against Julian Assange …
At that time I realized that the recipient of Irina's foot massage was His Royal Highness, Prince Andrew, the Duke of York.
The prince was guest of honor at a & # 39; welcome home & # 39; party for Epstein, recently released from a Florida prison. During his stay a series of attractive young women were shown who came and went. In a recently released video, the duke secretly said goodbye to a, later identified as Katherine daughter of former Australian Prime Minister Paul Keating.
Mr. Brockman has now shed light on what was going on behind the front door of the palace-like house of Epstein on 71st Street.
Others who mingled with Epstein have also told how his royal friend simply & # 39; Andy & # 39; was mentioned and how they did not immediately realize who he was.
Mr Brockman's meeting with the prince was revealed by science writer Evgeny Morozov, who had urged Mr Brockman to meet Epstein, a generous donor for scientific projects. In an email exchange of September 2013, Mr. Brockman wrote: & # 39; The last time I visited his home (the largest private home in NYC), I came in to find him in a training suit and a British man in a suit with braces, get foot massages from two young, well-dressed Russian women.
& # 39; After he burned me for a while about cyber security, the British, Andy, commented on the Swedish authorities and the charges against Julian Assange. & # 39; We think they are liberal in Sweden, but it looks more like Northern England as opposed to Southern Europe, & # 39; he said. & # 39;
The duke, Mr. Brockman said, added: & # 39; In Monaco, Albert works 12 hours a day, but at 9 pm he does what he wants and nobody cares. But when I do it, I have big problems. & # 39;
Mr. Brockman said that he only realized who he was talking to. He said the New York Post took a photo a week later of Andrew and Epstein walking in Central Park under the heading & # 39; The Prince and the Perv & # 39 ;. In the ensuing furore, the duke gave up his role as a British commercial ambassador.
Mr. Morozov said that Mr. Brockman clearly acted & # 39; like the PR man from Epstein & # 39 ;, vaguely +
mention his controversial history in the email by saying & # 39; he ran into trouble and spent a year in jail in Florida & # 39 ;.
The prince said last week that he & # 39; shocked & # 39; was by reports of & # 39; alleged crimes & # 39; from Epstein.
