A new newspaper report has appeared The Wall Street Journal It is reported that Amazon is seeking to add a new category within its Prime Video subscriptions that contains ads.
Where the newspaper stated that, according to sources close to that part, the mother of Amazon’s discussions are still in the early stages but have been continuing during the past weeks, and that the company intends to offer a Prime Video subscription that contains ads inside it.
Of course, the ad tier for Prime Video isn’t a new idea, as many of Prime Video’s competitors including Max, Disney+ and, most recently, Netflix all offer a cheaper subscription tier but come with the caveat of having to watch ads before a movie is streamed or shown on the service.
