A video shows the horrifying moment when a cash handler posing as a robber was shot dead by a security guard during role-play training for a Russian security company.
Oleg Korobkov, 23, posed as a robber during an exercise in the Russian city of Nizhny Novgorod when his colleagues were forced to role-play in an attack.
A guard overpowered a second fake robber and stole his gun, reports say.
In the video, the guard is reportedly seen through a metal gate and pointing the gun at Korobkov who is carrying ‘stolen money’.
But the man “ accidentally pulled the trigger, ” according to reports, in what was believed to be a training scenario at the office of Brink’s, a subsidiary of the world’s leading cash and valuables transportation company.

“The bullet hit Oleg in the chest, just below the heart,” said a report, which said the victim died instantly.

The Russian Commission of Inquiry said a murder case had been started.
“At the moment there are researchers working on the spot,” said the investigation committee.
Witnesses, including company employees, are interrogated and the documents seized.
“All circumstances of the incident are determined.”
Korobkov worked as a cash handler at the money transport company Brink’s. The Russian company declined to comment.

While it’s rare for people to be killed in role-playing, it does sometimes happen.
In 2008, a British police officer was accidentally shot by a colleague during training.
PC Ian Terry played the role of a criminal who fled in a car when he was fatally shot in the chest with a CS gas grenade designed to overpower suspects in Manchester.
In 2016, a Florida cop dressed as a ‘villain’ shot and killed a 73-year-old mother while role-playing – because he was loading live rounds instead of blanks.
Agent Lee Coel, 28, ‘accidentally’ murdered retired librarian Mary Knowlton in front of 34 people, including her husband, during the demonstration in Punta Gorda, Florida.
The purpose of the lesson was to teach people when not to shoot.
