Laura Anderson has revealed what really happened when she was forced to take her daughter Bonnie to A&E on Tuesday.
Speaking to MailOnline, Laura said she “knew straight away” something was wrong with her only son when she spoke about his “scary” trip to hospital.
Laura, new host of breakfast show Scotland Capital with co-host Fat Brestovci, revealed she had returned home from work and her little girl “didn’t seem like herself”.
He explained that Bonnie, who he shares with ex Gary Lucy, had a very high temperature and elevated heart rate.
Laura detailed: “I was really scared because I was coming straight from Capital and I was trying out a babysitter so she didn’t know her very well and I walked in and looked at her and thought you’re normally so smiley.” and happy but she didn’t really seem like herself.

The Love Island star, 34, revealed she had rushed her seven-month-old baby to hospital on Tuesday and wrote: ‘A&E with bubba’, causing concern among her fans.
‘I knew right away and then I picked her up and I felt like she was really hot and I took her temperature and it was 39 and the thermometer turned red and flashed like an alarm.
“I called 111 and they said it was temporarily unavailable and I thought, ‘Oh my God, I don’t know what to do,’ so I called the children’s hospital near me and said I didn’t want to be too dramatic. And they told me to come to A&E. immediately.’
She continued: ‘My heart just sank. I thought, oh, I’m not exaggerating. She was trying not to stress me out, her temperature had dropped a little and she had a lot of tests done and they had to try to get urine out of her, which was a nightmare.
“They put some Calpol on her because she wouldn’t take it off and then I took her to the GP the next day and they just checked her again because her temperature was still quite high.”
“She’s getting better, they said they can get something viral sometimes and their heart rate can also increase when they have a temperature so it’s pretty alarming.”
Laura went on to admit that she was “mortified” to call in sick in her second week in Capital, but said they were very “understanding” as she wanted to stay home and “keep an eye on” her little girl.
The former reality star confirmed that Bonnie is now “totally back to normal” after the scare.
She continued: “I’m probably the only person who knows her and can monitor her properly, which was crucial the next day and it was nice to be able to spend a day with her to make sure she was okay, so thank God.” .
Laura revealed to MailOnline that she had returned home from work and her little girl had a very high temperature and elevated heart rate which prompted her to take her straight to A&E.
She said: “I was trying not to stress, they did a lot of tests on him and they had to try to get urine out of him, which was a nightmare.” She was put on some Calpol and then I took her to the GP the next day and they just checked her again.
The former reality star confirmed that Bonnie is now “totally back to normal” after the scare, adding: “I’m calling her the little scoundrel.” I feel like she was just testing me.’

Laura also spoke to MailOnline about the “worry” of balancing life as a single mother and working in her new full-time job.
She revealed that she has been busy trying out babysitters, but that her mother has decided to “quit her job” and look after Bonnie full time.
The ITV2 star said: “I was a bit stressed, how can you trust someone you don’t know to look after your little baby?”
“My mom has said she’s quitting her job and I’m basically hiring her instead of a babysitter I don’t know and she’ll have it for me every morning.
‘I feel like now I can be stuck in Capital and not worry about Bonnie, it calms me down and I can concentrate on work when I’m there.
“This is the happiest I have ever been, it is that a great weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I don’t have that partner to help me juggle, so I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders.’
Laura added that she would “love to meet a new partner in the future” but doesn’t feel “100 percent ready yet” as she is busy “juggling” being a single mother.
She said: ‘I just don’t see how I could have the time at the moment but of course in the future I would love to have that family unit. I’m open to that in the future, but right now I feel like I don’t have time for a man.’
Laura shares Bonnie with her ex Gary Lucy, whom she met while filming Celebs Go Dating in July 2022.
She also told MailOnline that she would love to meet a “partner in the future” but doesn’t feel “100 percent ready yet” as she is busy “juggling” being a single mother.
Laura and Gary met while filming Celebs Go Dating in July 2022 and have been together on and off ever since.
Laura confirmed she is “happily single” earlier this year after fans were left guessing about the status of her relationship with Gary.
The couple were believed to be back together after they shared a post kissing on New Year’s Eve.
Gary fueled rumors they had split after he was spotted flirting with a mystery woman at a party earlier this year.
‘Gary looked very comfortable with a girl at the table and was whispering something in her ear. “He was clearly here for a fun night out and didn’t care who was watching,” a source told MailOnline.
Meanwhile, Laura was busy posting videos and photos of her day with her baby.
The on-off couple have had a tumultuous relationship after meeting on E4 reality show Celebs Go Dating in 2022.
The couple announced that they were going to have a baby in February 2023, but split shortly after.
Since Bonnie’s birth in September, speculation about the status of the couple’s relationship has been mounting, with the pair hinting they were secretly back together in numerous snaps.
