Kate Ferdinand revealed that her son, Cree, had surgery after a “freak accident”.
The former TOWIE star, 31, who is currently expecting her second child — a girl — with husband Rio, 44, shared an update to her Instagram story on Friday.
Kate said she was a “total emotional wreck” after the little boy, aged two, broke a bone in his finger and needed surgery to fix the injury.
Sharing a photo of Led Cree covered in bandages from the hospital, she apologized to her fans for the “radio silence” and explained what happened.
“Sorry for the radio silence, my poor kid had a freak accident Tuesday and ended up breaking a bone in his finger and then needing nail bed surgery,” she wrote.

“I’m a complete emotional momo right now,” Kate continued.
The TV personality’s stepmother to Rio’s three children Laurens, 15, Tate, 13, and Tia, 11 — whose mother Rebecca sadly passed away after a battle with cancer in 2015 — and they have Cree together.
This week, Kate revealed that she still carries the emotional scars of losing her baby after suffering a devastating miscarriage last year.
The former TOWIE star opened up on her latest episode mixed Podcast, he admits that although she’s currently feeling pretty good, the first trimester has been rocky because of the constant worry about getting pregnant again.
The reality TV personality explained that she still finds “every scan terrifying” because of her past experiences, the pregnancy loss has changed her “view of life for the better”.
Kate and her soccer player husband, Rio, lost their baby boy last summer after an absence of a heartbeat was discovered during a 12-week scan.
Kate said: I’m pregnant, I’m so glad I did. I was very anxious and worried about getting pregnant after the loss.
At the moment, I feel pretty good. In the first trimester, it was a lot in the air because Rio was so far away and not getting kicks or movement.

The TV personality has sadly admitted to specialist Zoe Clark Coates that the scans give her great anxiety.
‘Several times (in the first trimester) I went for an emergency check-up thinking something was wrong and I wasn’t in the best of vacuum,’ she said. Each scan is still terrifying. The moment you sit on this bed is scary.
