Last month, Carey was put in an awkward position after being incorrectly named the Best Supporting Actress award at the BAFTAs, but she laughed off the blunder.
The screen star looked “visibly shocked” when the misstep was made by the sign language interpreter.
Last year’s winner, CODA star Troy Kotsur, 54, had presented the award using sign language, but the error was removed from the BBC One broadcast, which was delayed by 30 minutes.
A source in the audience told MailOnline: ‘Carrie has been a really good sport and laughs at the mix. She looked visibly shocked when her name was announced.
Troy correctly signed up for Keri Condon winning for her role in The Banshees of Inisherin, while Carrie was in the running for her movie Me Too, She Said.
After hearing shouts through the Royal Festival Hall in London, the interpreter – realizing his mistake – said “This is a bad moment”.

Carrie and Marcus became engaged in 2011 after dating for just five months, and tied the knot in an English country wedding in Somerset one year later in April 2012.
The actress recently opened up about balancing her successful career and raising her family, daughter Evelyn, seven, and son Wilfred, five, during an interview with Vanity Fair.
I think it also changes as they get older. It’s different now,” Carey admitted when speaking about how parenthood has affected her “career choices” over the years.
When it’s small, it’s rather portable. Now I’m a little older, and it will become more clear what is possible and what is not possible for us.
The actress also thought about how she and her husband got the chance to pursue their passions in their careers.
“I’m so lucky,” she said, “we’re both so lucky that right now we’re doing jobs because we want to do them, not because we have to.”
And that’s a luxury in life and in the world to be able to do that. I think it’s kind of obvious when it’s a good time to do something and not to do it, whereas I think I may have debated more in the past. I feel very sore and dry.
